OT but I need to know

does anyone here raise tomatoes?

I'm trying again this year to grow tomatoes but I have for the past 4 years gotten
the tomatoes that die from the tomato blight.

Really getting tired of it.

I was told to remove all the soil from the raised bed I'm growing in and spray the bed completely with fungicide. let it dry and refill with new clean soil.

I did that and evern moved the bed.

I need input.

Last year over night some little white beetles ate all my pumpkins.

jasmine, I tell you a trick that I use beside moving your tomato plants to a different area each year or freshen the soil.  In a small pump sprayer say about 10 ounces mix in 3 tablespoons of listerine (just the old regular kind) and mist the plants every few days.

It really does help with the blight and yes I have heard the line about not only do you get tomatoes you freshen your breath at the same time....

Now does miracle grow really work...

I need to go buy some tomato cages today and get them around the tomatoes before they are too big.

I plan on growing a couple pumpkins for show if the stupid beetles dont eat them again.

Jasmine, I dont know about the miricale grow I guess it would work.  I have a friend that is into spelunkin (cave exploring) and he brings me a bucket of bat manure that I use and it works great.  Bat manure and listerine, now that is a combination.
