Can anyone provide me with a fair selling price for a VMC-88 Pepsi machine missing the bottle rack? I don't know if anything else is missing. Coin door looks okay. No significant damage other than a small dent on door. It has an embossed, single dot Pepsi logo.
Thanks, Jim Div

It isn't worth a lot. Basically what it is worth in remaining parts. Trying to find a rack to complete the machine would be nearly impossible. I won't give a number value but I would say under $200

Bummer... good looking machine... unless someone has a rough one with good interior parts to swap out... tough... the mech would be worth the most....around $250? if it's complete. there are others here that could tell you better... cabinet worth? hard to say machines like this are tough to price when missing the main parts kinda like pricing a 39 that's been gutted... location is another factor with price of gas...wow... whole nother topic there. Is it your machine?... or is it something you're looking at and are on the fence on?

It's my machine. Don't know anything about it. Bottom tray is rusted badly. I'm located near Knoxville, TN, but I could deliver to Allentown, PA, NE OH, and Chicago, and points in between if I decide to sell. Perhaps I can use it as a game room refrigerator. What do you mean by mech? Coin mech?
I already have a very nice VMC 27A? Pepsi machine. I don't really need another.

Definitely too bad! I would love to have a VMC-88 Pepsi!! Unfortunately, not many show up down here in Texas, and I'd have no idea where to get the inner workings to get that one back whole again. Like you said, would be a good game room fridge or donor cabinet to complete a restoration. Yes, I believe Eric is referring to the coin mech.

The mech is another term for the coin mechanism operated by the crank handle. I'd be interested in buying it (the mech) if you want to sell it. PM me if you are interested!

Terry ~ I sure wish I had known about that about a month ago when my parents drove through there with their van on their way out to visit us and see our new baby! I'd have had them throw it in the back. I'll make sure we put your place on our stop list when we drive out to visit them later this year. I'm quite certain you will have something that I want/need just sitting around collecting dust! What are the particulars on the VMC88? Greg

Don't know if you heard the story, but last time I visited Terry he had a machine I wanted so badly,...................... I had to stuff it into my Thunderbird to get it home!

I think I've seen a few references to that ordeal! My first machine, a V-81D, was brought home standing up and buckled in the back seat of my Mustang convertible...needless to say I got a lot of strange looks from the other cars on the road and especially the gate guards when going on base!
