I have a question. I want to purchase the Junior Cooler. I am new to these coolers and I want to see if the bottles hang or is it just like a normal cooler in which you just put bottles in and pour ice over them. Sorry for the dumb question. Help...

2 original versions, ice and refrigerated, The originals price has dropped way down since they are building new "reproductions" now. Bottles are just stacked in the insides. You can buy a original that needs to be restored for $200-600 or a new one for around $650

I have seen some of the larger coolers that the bottle actually hangs by its top and slides out. You just open the top and you can see the different brand name on the bottle cap. I guess the one I saw had about 5 rows. This model doesn't do that, I guess? Let me know. Thanks.

Your refering to a slider, Ideal and Glasco were the two big name companies that built the "sliders"

What you're describing is an Ideal or Glasco "slider" soda machine, it's about the same size as a Westinghouse Jr. , but as you said, has a coinmech/tower on the outside & a rack inside that the bottles hang from the necks & you'd "slide" them over to a flapper (trap-door) once you insert your coin, you'd pull the bottle up & out of the machine. these machines are electrically cooled. look under the soda machines section & click on "Ideal" and look at the 55 model.

Spoon-feeding Newbies since 2001... Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes. Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon! The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor 11 is louder than 10... "Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

Ok. Thanks. Are these hard to find? Also, does Coke have a machine like that?

They are fairly common, & come in many flavors, including "Coke" , if you want a Coke machine specifically, then you'd be looking for a Glasco 50, Ideal seems to made every flavor except "Coke"

Coca Cola embossed Ideal 55s can be tough to find but they are out there, Non embossed arent that bad and can be bought for fairly reasonable. Westinghouse Jrs in my part of the world can be located real easy without to much trouble.

Although it can be time consuming, reviewing some of the models listed in the Soda Machines Listings can narrow down a particular model provided a photo is currently available... Glasco GBV-50Glasco GBV-60Ideal 35BIdeal 55BIdeal 85BIdeal 85TWestinghouse JuniorThere are a few others but this should get you the more common versions... EDIT: The greedby link model doesn't have the vending rack and no mention of functionality... And for the low, low price of $1350 ! ! ! I don' think so...

Yep. I am looking for something the size of the Junior that I can put on my back porch for guests and myself. I just think the slider is neat because they hang and you can see the bottle caps. Do they make a machine that size (Junior) that has the slider and you can open the top and slide the bottle out, instead of pulling it out of the side door of the machine?

Cost wise the Westinghouse Junior is going to be in my price range. Do you have to add water or ice to the Junior cooler if it is electric? Or, will the machine cool pretty well? I wish I could find a good Glasco 50 for a reasonable price and in good working order. I don't want to spend over $900.

I have one right now that I can sell for $700. All original. Body is in great condition. Display as is or repaint it. It also has a cap catcher and bottle opener. It can be easily shipped Fed-Ex or UPS. I can email pics to your email address if you like.
Sodas are cooled on ice, like an oversized ise chest. I use one for parties all the time. People love it.

You should be able to find several very nice Glasco or Ideal Sliders for under 900.00 !!! for my nice original Glascos, with rack, coin mech and rewired for safety, I have been getting 650-700 for those... Let us know where you are located and I'm sure there is a member who has or can find you a slider within your budget. I have several available as well, and I'm in Northern Wisconsin.
