That looks real to me, but the folks over at oldgas.com would know for sure.

Hi
I have an original. Mine doesn't appear as rounded as yours, but I'm sure they made different variations. (Mine is British anyway) It also has stamped on the inside around the collar property of shell Returnable on Demand...
It has the same yellowing and wear around the collar that yours has...

I wish I could say the yellowing on the collar is a sure sign. I've been reading the fraud and fake thread on oldgas.com, I can';t believe the work that goes into making a fake sign look aged, based on the bucks they go for I can see why it is so rampant.
The one thing i have to offer is to look for bubbles, waves, or othert type imperfections in the glass. Thetechnology wasn't as good as today, so there were usually slight imperfections.

I agree with earlier posts... check on Oldgas.com...
First thought would be yes, especially with the debossed logo on it? but I haven't seen the two side by side..
Guess the big question is ... did you have to pay a fortune for it and now are second guessing? or if you got it cheap, now your wondering if you got a deal??? either way.. still very cool...
I have been looking for one like that for a while as I"m restoring a shell Bennett pump.
If your looking to sell or swap... let me know.. PM me
