I think I'm finally breaking my wife down..  biggrin The other night, the kids and I were talking about getting rid of our air hockey table (AKA big table for storing junk) to make room for a few more video games... Even though the table doesn't get used, she doesn't want to let it go just yet. Then she says, "Maybe you should just convert the F%*@ing garage into a game room!"  hopefull I have 4 games and a pin downstairs now, and 2 more sitting in the garage waiting for time and space... I haven't pushed the issue yet, but I'll just keep dropping small hints until its her decision  glare

You got the wright idea, as long as they think it there idea, it's great. I'm kind of lucky, my wife says, the whole downstairs is yours, whatever you do is fine but you clean it! My son and I love it.

Curtis,

Very nice basement.  It looks better than my living room.  I imagined your basement to have  at least a wall of Stoners and a few Coke machines.  You need to get a U Pop It or a Popperette popcorn machine for your entertainment center.

Dr. G... I do have to come up with a name, but I don't think she'll go for Bubba.. I think she would prefer to call is something with A**holes arcade..  Cool

Thats a cool room Curtis.. looks great. Right now I share my basement with my movie theater, and the kids toys... It is getting a bit crowded. I have a few more things to rearrange and get rid of, and it will look less crowded.. I really want to build my garage into a bar/gameroom setup.

You guys won't beleave this but I don't have any machines restored, everytime I get one done for myself, Jeff or another customer wants it. I do however have every piece for a Stoner Jr, ready to put back togather and finished as mint as you could get but I just have to get a cabnet painted. Customes come first! I'm working on a few very Cool projects for myself, show everyone later. I'll add a few old photos of my basement, when I refused to sell any of my personal machines. I'm a sucker for Money!

Bubba,

I am curious to what region do you live in.  If you live in a northern climate, you would have to have the garage heated and cooled to protect your backglasses from peeling.  I believe that the peeling occurs because of the different expansion and contraction rates between the glass and paint/silk screened ink.

I had a gun game from the fifties in my garage, in July, and the paint lifted.  The same thing happened to my Evans Rolleto Jr. console slot, but that was hot bulbs vs. a cold basement.

I know the United shuffles and bowlers from the sixties were made of plexi-glass and temperature doesn't affect them.  I am not sure about the newer, 1980's games, I have mostly older 1960's stuff.

One way to protect them is to spray/seal them with a can of Krylon triple thick non yellowing clear sealent.  I used it on three games and the peeling stopped, or you can move the wife into the garage!
