Hi

I have recently inherited a Vendo 63 with a seized up compressor.  I happen to have a new Matsu!%@$a 1/3 hp R134A compressor from an old project.  It will fit properly in the mounting location.

My question is I know I should flush out the condensor, etc and replace with ester oil.  I have experience in automotive air conditioning, but this is a little different.

Can anybody give me some helpful tips regarding how much freon to start with and an approximate oil capacity of the system?  I have some piercing valves and also a dryer/sight glass I can install. (Plus R134a)

Thanks!

Welcome to the Board!!
Good idea to replace both fan motors while you have the deck out. You can order those from Eric at GlobalCompressors (Banner at the bottom of the home page). He will also be able to help you with your questions.
