I have an 81B that is at the painter right now and I was wondering if all 81Bs that came out had the red bottle stack face plate. I think it would look better white but just thought it would be something to check on. This one was red when I got it. Thanks !

I can't answer what was original, but I'm with you on the white stack face plate!
With the bottle door red and the white with the light will really show off the selections.
My 81A has an all red stack faceplate and the lower/upper selections are kind of dark.

While on the subject of faceplates, powdercoating is the best way to go.
Pulling bottles through it tends to chip the paint around the edges exposing bare
metal which turns brown with rust. Then the light inside the door really highlights
these flaws.
I just had 5 of them powdercoated for $125.00 total. I don't know how much
they would charge for just 1.

Looking at most of my 81's I've had... 95% of them where Red on 81's and Most of the b,d's where white face plates.. I would say that would be correct but of course what ever you like if....

I do all my a's in red and others with white... Powder coating is the way to go!
