Game rooms are awesome. It looks like yours gets used often, which is nice.
I made a gameroom downstairs, for my kids, (yeah, right) but I only have one electronic game, Pole position. Most of my stuff is older than me. Do you have any electromechanical games?

Wish my hubby would build a gameroom. I love centipede. I bet I put many quarters in the machine at the local arcade back in high school. Enough to buy the thing. Hubby says over his dead body would one get built, maybe when he retires he'll change his mind. That would mean I'd have to also put some John Deere stuff in there somewhere. Wonder if I can sneak a game or two in my shop........wonder what the health dept would say on inspection day? I want a pinball machine for sure a Williams space mission.

Hubby doesnt like things like that. Mostly duck and deer hunting. His work and oh yeah old planes & tractors.
Our DD, (dear daughter) is just like him, they are in the deer stands today. She loves air shows, anything John Deere, hunting and Blue Angels.
I guess she's as much like her dad as I was with mine.
I get my love of old things from him. Grew up in his auto body shop, around old cars, electronics and anything mechanical.

Having a wonderful relationship with your children is what it's all about for a parent ! ! ! Some people only strive to have this but it sounds like you and yours have established that bond! I can only be envious about your husband and your DD being the woods together on this day... We're going skateboarding together later tonight instead...

We have the deer and the horns on the living room wall. Along with the green head mallards, his big screen tv.
This is the first few years she has actually wanted to go sit in her deer stand, usually she is out on the 4 wheeler with all the other kids at the hunting club. Riding the sandbar or back woods or watching the towboats on the river.
Her boy friend gave her a deer rifle for christmas. Better than a ring, we need to finish nursing school first.
The game room is on hold until he retires, he'd rather have some old tractors or machiners to tinker with than a game room though. Maybe one day. We have 2 1/2 acres to build on.
He really wants one of those BIG radio controlled airplanes. We have a club near by maybe he can get into that and I get a game room.

Like Bubba wants to do to, we converted our 2-car garage into a gameroom and added a 3-car garage. Here are some pics of the gameroom, but I have still a lot of stuff to find a home for and the wife has her six-cents also...we've agreed on most things so far. It's about a 500sf room

Thats nice looking Tom... That was a big 2 car garage.. Beautiful job.. I want a pool table. Thanks Bubba! We added about 100-150sf to the room. The original garage was from about the Vendo coin changer to where the pic#1 was taken from - approx. 400sf. The small table flips over for a poker table and underneath is a Bumper Pool table.

What kind of TV do we have hiding behind the doors!?? A 46" Sony LCD - this is my second one sine June 07 - the first one I had pulled a little too far forward in the cabinet and my 1 1/2-year-old busted the panel with one of my six-year-olds action figures $2000 to repair or $2500 new - i got a new and the old one is in a box in the garage. I expected to see a table set up with Coin Mechs on it?? Behind the door with the Barber Poles is a finished 12x12 office with full antique style bath (pedestal sink, clawfoot 5'6" bathtub) and closet...behind it is a 7x12 workshop, which I still have to finish out.

Thanks everybody! We love it and the kids have a blast! PS3, Pool, Bumper pool, games, cards...once we get rid of the kids stuff (I have a 1-year-old), the wife says to go ahead with a pinball machine in the corner down from the V81 to the right of the Ent. center (maybe a tabletop video game too? - she hasn't agreed to this yet though). I got so much stuff to put in it already, but the wife doesn't want a 'crowded' look. I tend to agree, but I keep slipping a few things in here and there and gettting away with it.
Here is a couple of other pics of the office and office bath.

Thanks Curtis! The original house needs some remodelling now....both baths and the kitchen, but we needed more room first. We always wanted a big soaking tub...I could never fit in the mini tubs they make these days without being balled up, so we splurged a little on it!
Pat, I contracted out most of it - the wife wasn't going to wait for me to do it all myself. We bought the house on a 3/4 acre lot 15 years ago and with the surge in home prices here over the years, we still have a cost basis well under the value of the home. I'll be doing more with the smaller remodeliing projects!

A half acre or more would be nice and allow for more room. Dan, As I said in an earlier post, we bought this house 15 years ago and in that time it has sextupled in value....best investment I have ever made! I had a 15 year payment plan and paid the original mortgage off last year - now I have another, but at a better rate! When we were looking to buy a house, my wife and I each had one feature we wanted. She wanted natural gas as she is a chef and I did not want to see my neighbor each morning through the kitchen window as I drink my coffee - no cookie-cutter house and I did not want a HOA to deal with! After a few months of searching, we found this house. I knew it was for us when we saw it - it had a 20,000 gal. diving pool, natural gas, a BIG 10ft. Paraclipse satellite dish (now gone) and I was at least 30 yds. from my closest neighbor's window! We still love the location and house, so we decided to add-on instead of move - we were busting at the seams with stuff. I'm currently at about 2900sf and I have room on the lot (by city laws) to add another 1100sf if we ever want to.
