Vendorlator 56a with Embossed Door?

Check out this Machine on Ebay currently, Vendorlator 56a with Embossed Coco-Cola lettering on Door. I'm guessing something was cut and put in on this machine, don't think there where embossed originals?

Hey

That thing looks like a reworked machine.  Somebody repaired an newer machine with the more modern body artwork and added a thrifty-vend bottle door & an embossed metal plate over the light sign area.

       That was a production machine. The letters were embossed and the
bottle door had cirlcles on it to make it look like bottle selections

I have seen them before with the embossed metal sign. I knew a guy in Indianapolis that had one. It also had a thrifty vend door on it. I think it is origional

Like Josh said, it's original (except for the paint).  Someone took a Thrifty-Vend and simply repainted it.  Kevin C sent me a sign for my 56 from one he had.  It is embossed, has not be repainted, and has the "Enjoy That Refreshing New Feeling" painted on below the embossing.

        We can understand your point of view Dave, But this wll be a nice machine when it has been finished! 
       Maybe the graphics on the sides are rather large. I would swap the bottle door with a glass door 56, which should be very easy to find.
       It's just that walking up to a machine to drop in a coin.........we stand eye to eye with
the letters and embossed letters get more respect from many people than a light-up sign.
       This is the only machine where we can take just the embossed letters to the sign shop.

       $400 does not sound too high since the hardest and most expensive part, the painting, is almost done.
