I am the new electronic repair tech at the local PepsiCo bottling plant, and I am having one humdinger of a time locating technical/troubleshooting information and schematics on the various Coinco changers and bill validators which are my primary responsibility to service and repair. I have been told by several people that Coinco is very TIGHT with their technical information, but how do they expect anyone to service their products which are no longer in warranty? As an experienced Navy-trained electronics technician, I am trying to save our service department money by doing the repairs in-house, rather than sending them to Coinco or other service centers which will charge us out-the-butt for repairs that I know I am capable of for pennies on the dollar.
Any help will be GREATLY appreciated. I know this material exists somewhere.

Welcome aboard. Try contacting Tom at sodamuseum.com from this sight, he might have something for you.

Here is the site that has the operation and service mauals for coinco products old and new.  You can download them and print them out.

http://coinco.com/coin/faq/servicemanual.asp

I had to put the word dot in there to post but you get the idea.  The material is free to download.

Maybe we should make that link a sticky post since everyone could use access to the service manuals for coinco products.

Camel24hrs, that is a good site for the "service manuals", but what I am actually looking for is detailed electronic schematics and troubleshooting flow charts. Most of the "service manuals" I already have in the shop. These are more for a field technician's usage (cleaning and general operational troubleshooting). I just thought someone might have access to board- and component-level diagrams.

The professional on those electronic mech.s is Johnie G and
I would suspect he didn't get his knowledge from a book. You can
do the same. Start with an old coin mech and take it apart to
see what makes it work.... A circuit board, some micro switches and
some C.R.E.M.s, (coin return electromagnets). Check some earlier
posts, Johnie explained it well.
