I need to make space so I need to sell my Cavalier CSS-64g. This machine is in almost new condition, never restored. I purchased it in 1991 from the original owner where it was used at a phone company central office break room. It is still on the shipping wheels (red metal bars with metal coaster wheels attached). The original owner told me he left them attached to make it easier to move when they cleaned the floors. There are maybe a couple small scratches on top, but very minor. While I owned it I had it in my kitchen most of the time, but it has been in the garage the past 4 years. I plan to put this on craigslist so I would like to know what price I should put on it? I really don't know what these are selling for.
Thanks,
Jack

If nobody here has any ideas on this, could someone suggest where I can go to get a value? Thanks.

Matt, His profile says he is in Enumclaw, WA
jleeper, Most of these machines go for $100-$150; however, if your machine is in as nice a condition as you say - it might go for up to $300-$400. As Matt said - pictures, pictures, pictures - we cannot give an appraisal without all the facts - complete, cools, nice paint, coin mech works, everything works properly!

Sorry Jack, about not getting with you on this . Tom, is right on this Picture's help sence we can't see it in person, That is why we ask for both sides and the back side behide the coin door area the main soda area the compressor area if it works or not . This is all important to getting a price, JohnieG, and I have talked a number of time about people that have call us on the phone and have asked us to give them a price on there machine, That they have told us about then they start to add little thing like a ding which turns out to be a big dent, Or they want you to look at one photo that is dark and not that good. So you can see why we ask for photos , I'm just sorry we did not get to you right away. Pat

Thanks, I'll get photo's tonight. It is complete and everything is there and in very nice shape, but I'll get better photo's to show. It is kind of dusty from being in the garage, but I'll clean it up then snap some photo's.

You will have an easier time selling it with those legs removed, they make it stand much taller than what people prefer. It looks to be in nice shape and clean, but that modern looking woodgrain works against the antique look. This is another machine that will bring less money than it's really worth, too bad you need space more than this sharp little cooler!

Thanks. I'll list it for $450 and I'll throw in a 1950s cigarette vending machine I also have (a restoration project from the 1980's I never did) if the buyer wants it.
I'll let you all know how it goes.
BTW, a brief story on how I ended up with this machine. In 1991 I was visiting a friend who worked at the North Bend phone company central office (I work in the same line of business). As we were walking thorugh the break room I noticed the coke machine and said "cool pop machine". My friend said the guy who owns it is retiring and wants to get rid of it. I asked "how much" and he said "$35". I had him find the guy and I gave him the $35 and came by later that day to pick it up. It was one of those "right place at the right time" kinda things.
