A bit of an stretch, but I have always joked that you could put the Coke emblem on a dog turd and people would fight over it!  biggrin I've noticed the trend getting stronger with Coca-Cola & Pepsi gumball machines. Can't say that I really like 'em.

I am just amazed and amused at people on Eby.
Sigh, I need to  restore my old Wesern Electric telephone iin Coke Red,  place a bottle cap in the dialer center ring, use the money I receive to pay for everyone here to  attend the Spring chicago show.

jawdrop  OH MY GOD!!!  I can't believe my eye's $1025.00 and a 1Day and one  hour
left . Brian  your so right in what you said ( you could put the Coke emblem on
a dog turd and people would fight over it! )     I'm going to put this on watch
and see how high it goes.   Now I need to go out and find a few candy
                   machine's    Cool.

                        Pat

                             P.S. I think I would ask for 10lbs. of M&M (I like M&M's )
for that price, come on he could stop before going to the
bank  and and buy 7 lbs. more.  laugh

I wouldn't put too much weight into the price - idiots or shill bidding.
The possibility of them bidding on YOUR auction is slim.
Highest bid of somebody not battling for it currently is $400 -still not bad for a $100 machine!
There are other idiots though - a fool and his money are soon parted (or some party)!

For being what they are, Fantasy Machines, the handfull that are on Ebay right now look to be very nicely done. The paint job's look like they are quality and the decals and pinstriping look good. The biggest thing I see in the auctions other than the item is how it's presented. The Coca-Cola themed machine is partially filled with red and white gumballs, the Mountain Dew machine is filled with yellow and green gumballs and they are both photographed nicely.

Proper advertising goes a VERY long way! I have a Victor Topper that I would be converting if it wasn't for the emotional attachment that my family has to it.
