Hello everyone:

I have this Vendo 39 - no drum, no coin door, rusting out by vents, rusty  coin mech too no drum shaft. It does get cool not cold. glare I want to get a coin door to make it look "whole" again.  I can't seem to find one.  I found one for $200 but I don't think I want to put that kind of $ into this machine - especially with the rust on the side.  I just don't want to go too deep.  What do you think?

If there is no drum, then the coin door is the least of your worries.
There is still value in the parts remaining though, but I can't tell what all is there from your pic.
The coin mech will bring about $100 if it is not too far gone (rusted).
The drum support shaft, index mech and basket reset will all bring in some cash-$100 or more between them.
The compressor, if working, might be worth something, but I have found it hard to get rid of the old compressors (people don't want to take the chance that it is non-working I think).
If the compressor works, I'd part out all the stuff - put some shelves in it and sell the remainder as a fridge and you would probably net close to $300.

If you want to try to complete it, $350=drum, $125-$150=coin door + ??.
Just my thoughts!

If you do decide to part it I need a set of main door hinges, Four pieces two on the front door, and two on the main cabinet.

If you decide to do it I may have a patch panel for you off one of my bare 39 cabinets. Let me know if your interested but they would be fairly cheap. You of course would have to cut out yours and weld the new metal in.

I've had a few 39s... there where 1000s made.... you may be better off parting it out and waiting for nicer one to come along... I'd part it out and I mean take every part off... main door, the door liner, little bottle shoot that's in the main door, bottle door, mech, door lock/latch hinges, fan motor, fan cover, little wire guard, heck even the tub if it isn't riusted out... you'd be suprised what you can get for the parts...  Just have to decide if you want to put the time and money in it or wait for another to pop up...

I just don't want to go too deep.  What do you think?

You asked us for advice!   Here it is........keep your $150 and get rid of this machine. If you don't part it out, the guy that buys it from you surely will!

I agree with moondawg (but I am not yelling at you. biggrin) You will be wasting time doing that. You will also have to pay to ship the coin door.
