I am back from the auction and Yes, I bought the Quikold Jr., but I paid WAY too much for it.  Things went VERY high all day, and the machine had a lot of interest.  Buyers in from everywhere because it was a big antique auction.  Over 1000 lots and very nice things. So, my dreams of an 81 are on hold..  But I figured there are a lot of 81's out there, I have never came across one of these at auction or ebay.  Something different and in good shape. Here are pictures......

Ashame things went high at the auction...
You know we don't have a reference photo in the Soda Machines Section for the Quikold Junior... Are you thinking what I'm thinking...?

I have had a couple of questions as to the history of the machine... Here is what I know...  The guy who I bought it from (antique dealer)-bought it from a car dealership in Aberdeen, South Dakota about 40 years ago.  A guy came in looking for a car, and traded the cooler in on it, and the antique dealer then bought it from the car dealership, and stuck it in his basement ever since.  Said he did use it once in the late 60's for a party - filled it with ice and pop.  That was all he knew.........
