I'm restoring a Ideal Slider 500 and being that this is my first restoration, I will probably have many questions along the way.  One thing I'm concerned about is the embossed logo.  Does anyone know what this logo should look like in mint condition?  I would like to see a restored or better condition logo so I have a better idea of the original look.  Also, should I have it painted or have a decal made?  If a decal, where's a good place to have it made?  Thanks.

Welcome!
Is just the cap and lettering embossed?
I can't quite tell, but it looks like the dark blue border is also???
If only the bottle cap and lettering are embossed...what are the dimensions?
Either Fun-Tronics (301) 371-5246 or www.sodajerkworks.com probably carry vinyl decals to fit, but....
painting it on is the way it was done originally!

Find a local sign painter or artist in your area and see if they would hand paint it for you... I've paid as much as 75.00 to do lettering on a Coke Machine in the past...

The logo is emobossed and debossed.  Where the square border starts, it is debossed.  When it gets inside to the cap and lettering, that is embossed.

Most of you all probably already knew this but a body shop guy showed me how to put a piece of paper over the embossing and then trace over with with the side of a pencil lead.  Then take the tracing to a sign shop and let the make you a good vinyl decal.  I did this for my Nesbitt machine because I could not find a decal that would fit and the cost of hand painting was to high.  The decal cost 30 dollars but fit perfectly....

Can we see the results of the decal you got made, I'm assuming it's just one color?  I have a guy who can make vinyl one color decals for me but would love to find someone who can do the full color diecut... I think somewhere on here a while back was looking into it? or is it cost prohibitive unless you get 1000's made?

I only got one made and the cost was 33.00 but they said they saved it to their computer so if I needed more.  I tried posting a picture but had no luck it was the wrong type of file it kept informing me.  I had already post a picture a month or so ago of the nesbitt machine in the pre 60's section or I can pm you...
