I'm new, but I've had my Vendo 90 Dr. Pepper machine for about 10 years. (I'll post pics later, and yes, it has stuff on top of it).  The machine was in a  barn next to my uncle's place near Dallas.  I saw it in there one day when I was a kid and told my uncle I wanted a machine like that.  About 10 years later, the guy died and my uncle bought his property.  Not long afterwards, he showed up at my house (5 hrs drive) with the DP machine on a flat-bed trailer.  We had never spoken about it in the interim.  What an uncle!

It was in good-but-dirty original shape when I got it, but for some reason I never tried to operate it until this past weekend, when I found myself with some extra time.  I cleaned-up the coin mech and got it working, and I tested the vend mechanism.  I replaced the lighting (except for the vend door light, which I didn't know how to access until I joined here  '<img'> ), replaced the fluorescent starters, and tried the refrigeration.

No go on the cold.  The evaporator fan blows up the back wall like it's supposed to, but the compressor and compressor fan do not come on.  I'll diagnose that in the coming days and figure out what I need to do about it.

So anyway, thanks for having me, and do be patient as I'm sure I'll ask some questions that make you shake your heads.

Check the thermostat,  is it turned to the off position by chance?
