I do it just like the factory , paper less and standard insulation .You can do a higher  r rating just don't go thicker. Just my two cents |

 Bob,
Use paperless to aid in avoiding water retention.
There was a discussion some time ago that talked about using cardboard to aid in re-assembly... This is the method I used to keep the insulation from compacting during liner insertion

 The Cardboard Discussion is Here...

I also agree on using unfaced rolled insulation. I use the "Cardboard Method" as well, It works great! |

All I could find for my machines was paper lined. All I did was remove the paper. It just pulls right off. I also use the cardboard method. It really works |

I just got back from Home Depot and I couldn't find any "non-paper" rolled insulation.  Good to know the paper peels right off.  Thanks Josh.

That is the one machine that I decided to keep. It is in a sad state of half restoration in my moms garage. I destroyed the paint moving from tenessee to Ohio. I can't wait to strip it down and redo it in RC Cola again someday. |

Yep the coin door to a cav 55 came open and kept banging against the machine. I had it shrinkwraped but it eventually tore the shrink wraping away. |

I'm currently restoring a Pepsi square top, and I was wondering if any of you had tried using foam insulation instead of fiberglass insulation.  I was looking at the R values on insulation and fiberglass is 3-4 and Polyisocyanurate foam is 7-8, or is there some reason it wont work that I'm not seeing. |
