Went out to one of my new clients farm today, found out he was a collector of Old Junk.. No pop machines, lot's a gas stuff. Spent about 2 hours talking about stuff, 10 minutes of actual work conversation. He is selling 4 of the Visible gas pumps, which I'm contemplating, but he knows what their worth, so may not find the deal of the century, but really want a visible. Enjoy.

Nice gas pumps, if the globes and the glass cylindars are original there worth money little alone the pumps. If you want to check value let me know.

I know the Globes are all repops, no originals on these at least. He has 4 tht are for sale, two waynes, one is a 915 and other a 615 I believe, One Gilbert and Barker (has some BB holes in the glass) and the other a butler. The ones that are mounted to the ground in front of the small garage are not for sale but very cool pumps. I'm figuring with all original glass, waynes have been going for 1000 around here, the GB and Butler I think more?? I am hoping just to snag one of the nicer ones for under 750 or so? he told me to make an offer, but during our conversation he did say something like he thought they where worth 1000 each cause he saw one once sell at a car show for that and higher.... so not sure what I'll be able to get the guy down too, plus have to be nice to him as he is a client... so hopefully if I continue to treat him fair he'll take that into consideration... I would think that you have to walk a fine line between being an agent and a collector. I have a hard time when I find stuff while "on the job", although a little bit different in my case since I'm there as an "official". You never know when something will come back to bite you in the a**.
I really like that Tydol sign, looks like a killer ($$) to ship though. Does he have a price in mind for it?

We didn't talk much about signs, I do want that large sinclair porcelain laying in front of row of pumps... That'll be in the next trip.. This guy also collects Old Gas Enigines... I think they where used on farms for pumps and such, pretty cool looking with the big flywheel and pully wheel on them (think that is what it is?) he tears them apart, blasts them and repaints. Heavier then heck though!
