Okay Guys

I have decided that this year's bring home item has to be a Barbers Pole.

I know absolutely nothing about them apart from the fact that they are still being made.

What I would like is a 1950's MARVY (think that's right). Or similar, The smaller the better. In great condition. That can be hung up straight away. Looking for replacement  glass across the Atlanitc is not easy.

I'm keeping a close eye on Ebay but if anyone turns one up locally please let me know.

Oh yeah, please don't breathe a word to the wife....

Sorry Dave.... '<img'>
If one does pop up we'll let you know and if one pops up that needs glass
Drop Mike Thomas  a email... He use to be a distributor for Marvy and can get the glass for $75 instead of the other places
(Including the Marvy website)at $113 -$134. So that's a big savings there...
I've sent him the $$$ for the parts I need so all I have to do now is paint the support and re-wire and mine will be done... And now I'm looking for
bottles and other Barber stuff to set along side.... That's a whole new
area of collecting.... Some barber bottles are crazy money!

A customer of mine is selling one of his airplane hangars and he has to part with a lot of stuff. He has a false storefront that needs to be moved too.
I got a private tour this weekend, will be open to the public for 1 day June 2. Lots of gas and oil stuff too.

Dave, is this barber pole what you need?

Oh.. and don't send help.... send money.... '<img'>
There is too much to collect... I promise I'll tone it down....
I'm down to just needing Stoner Junior, Wayne 60, Quikold Standard,
throw in a couple gumball machines.... Then I'm moving onto a 1950 Studebaker.
... then I'm done. ':<img:'>

Dave, I was there last weekend but I didn't notice the price. Reggie is on tour now but will be back in a week. I think you should contact him yourself, he came here to Calif. from your country. ( Deep English accent)Reggie's web site  Click on the airplane in the lower right to see the hangar.

Did you notice his Bayer asprin dispenser?
