I am cleaning up that VMC56 I got out of Missouri for a friend. I have a few questions: Where can I get Pepsi decals for it? and The bottle door liner seems to have swelled up and cracked. Below are pics of it. How do you get the back off without damaging the frame? Does anybody sell replacement backing for this type door? It is a grey plastic material. Thanks in advance for any help!

Tom,
It's been a while since I tore my bottle door down (it was the same as yours). I think there are screws around the outside of the bottle door frame. If not, I just cut the plastic out (it may have been glued to the sides in case I broke out as much of it as I could and then chipped the stuff away from the frame). What has happened is the foam insulation inside the door has gotten wet and expanded. It's in there with adhesive, so it will take a little work to get it all cleaned out. I've never seen a replacement plastic backing for the door. I just took some thin sheet metal and made a new backing for the door.

Hi Tom, I did one of these once and they are glued. I had the same problem you have, what I did once I got it cleaned up was I just glued some of those solid block vinyl pieces in the frame back painted a piece of plexi glass put the insulation in and glued the plex glass to the vinyl blocks and it looked good as new....

Tom- sodajerks has 2 different sheets of water release Pepsi decals; single and double dot. I also think there was also a thread back ~ 12 months or so ago, where someone converted one of the steel doors to a glass door (or maybe they just swapped for a glass door)?

I just added glass to a round top 56 yesterday. Pulled this liner out of the trash today, it's 24" x 15.5" It's not grey, it's black......you want it Tom?

QUOTE ...it's 24" x 15.5" Glen, My door measures 24.5" x 5.5". You must have a one-of-a-kind rare V56RT's. J/K If your door indeed has the same measurements as mine, I'll take it. Let me know and I'll PM you my address. I assume, since it was in the trash, that you do not want anything for it; however, let me how much shipping is and I'll pay reimburse you for it. Thanks!

The door on the round tops is thinner. Like it says above the square top is 5.5" and the round top is 5". The parts are not interchangeable. I have tried it. I have a transition 56 that uses the RT door. I bought a door to a ST and it was too thick.
