Coin changer problem, or not???

I have a Dixie Narco 248, 5 selection, single price coke machine. The coin changer is the CoinCoS75-9800B. Here's the problem. The changer accepts nickels, dimes, quarters, and gives change if you put in over the set amount. When the correct amount of change is put in, the relay clicks, and the C.R.E.M.s release so that no more change can be put in.The machine appears to be ready to vend but when you make a selection, nothing happens. All the vend motors work except for one. I have ordered another one, but i didn't think that was the problem. After reading the CoinCo S75-9800B manual, my best guess is there is something wrong with the vend relay on the logic board. This is my first coke machine, so i'm a little new at this. I just need to know if that sounds correct, or could it be something else?

Hi and welcome to SMC
'>
You can isolate the coin mech completely by using a
Free Play Switch
This will allow you to trick the machine into thinking the coin mech has triggered (you uplug the coin mech and replace it with the free play switch).
If the machine vends ok with the fps then you know the coin mech is the problem, if not your problem is elsewhere..
Try the switch and report back to us.. (the S75-9800A/B mechs are a dime a dozen, so no problem to replace if neccessary)
Good luck..

Sounds as if your coin mech. is doing it's job!

As Glen has stated, sounds like the coin mech is functioning.
You might look at the vend relay... I'm not familiar with DN machines, but function theory should be similar...
I'm thinking the vend relay is energized after the coin mech receives the correct change; this will energize the selection buttons, but since yours aren't functioning, the problem should be before this step which leads me to the vend relay...
