Just thought I'd share some photos of the 81a I got off Ebay... I thought it was only a few hours drive which turned out to be a total of 4 to get it, but oh well... I wanted an 81a.
I know they where all originally red, but did that include the bottle stack face plate as well, or was it white originally?
I think the 100% red look is pretty good?
This machine has a second coat of red applied over the original red, but as you can see by the plate, the 2nd coat of red is oversprayed on what looks like an original White bottle stack face. OH and the white bottle door has to go, it's painted white over red.
Either way it all gets stripped and redone... Thanks for looking.

Faceplate was red.
Red bottle door and red bottle door gasket too.
Main door gasket was black like all the others.

Nice but yeah the white door has got to go! Nice straight look'n machine

Thanks guys, I like the A... it was my first 81 I ever got but fixed her up and sold it to a buddy so Finally glad I got another!
The Garage is officially FULL now. the little 2 car is now one half Family Mini Van and the other half, my Corvette, 3 pumps, 2 81's, Jacobs 26, Ideal slider, Stoner 180.  I'm hopeing to slide another Glasco 50 I have my eye on in MN (See who's bidding).

Thanks it was an Ok/Good deal not great but good for me and being that it was faily local, didn't have to mess with shipping expense.
