Where is an ONLINE source with accurate information to decode serial numbers? My V-83 (mod plate #F83A5)has a serial plate #F8955. Really would like the know the date of manufacture.  '<img'>

It's a mechanical coin changer. Does the "F" have any meaning? I had understood it was an earlier model, due to the wide waffle piece on the front.

Thanks for the serial numbers sheet DR. I really appreciate the effort. I thought it was older than '54.
