I have two late model V39's.
The cabinets are both in good shape,
but have dents around the compressor compartment
and one of them has water fountain and screw holes.
The main door of one is pretty well dented up, but basically rust free.
The other main door is straight as an arrow, but has beltline rust.
As a restorer, which main door and cabinet would be easier to deal with?
I can part one out and keep both doors,
but I was thinking on trying to sell one whole.
Any thoughts from you professional restorers?

rogerz,
No reason to use foul language.
I can post some pics, but dents never really show up very well.
I thought the description would be sufficient to get an opinion.
The cabinets are pretty even as far as shape (that I can see).
The main door is what I am wondering about.
The dented up door has a dent on the corner just under the top hinge and all about the coin door.
I try to capture everything on camera.

Tom, Are you planning on doing the work yourself? The 39 you posted the other day with the dent on top of the main door looked very restorable. If you have the right equipt. the rust isn't an issue either.

As I said, it is hard to capture all of the dents in a photo.
It is fairly beat up - bottle door was cracked, but not broken.
Main door liner is caved in - dents all around the coin door and bottle door.
The ratchet mechanism was even bent a little.

I will most likely be taking the body of the machine to a local shop and have them do the body work and paint.
I can do all the other stuff.
