On the way back with my 81b today I managed to stop a few places along the way to Hunt. Found this in an antique shop near me... I believe it's a Westinghouse WE3 as it's a water bath unit. No tag but I know this and the Cavalier are similiar? Of course they had about 750 on it... I asked there best price and they said make an offer... so here I am '> Body in good shape, one noticable dent. but no rust and seems all complete and in pretty good repaintable condition.. I like all the embosssing on all four sides and under lid...

I think it is the Cavalier 3-Case Junior - Book avg. cond. = $325. A WE-3 was on eBay a little while back. I just tried to find it, but too long ago. I believe it went for about $400. It was in nice shape too.

That's a perfect patio cooler! Hard to find around here in that good of condition... There was one like that a few years ago in a shop for $1200... It's gone so I don't know what it sold for... Leave a bid of $350.... see what happens! good luck! (Where's the 81 pics?) '>

I found the WE-3 auction. The seller says it is a Westinghouse and it looks just like the one near you. Walter's book and my WD-5 do not have "Ice Cold" on the front, so I am just guessing that the WE-3 did not also. The Cavalier 3-case Junior in Walter's book does have the "Ice Cold". Anyway, here is an auction to compare to.

did some more research and it's a Westinghouse WE-3 for sure. The Cavalier version did not have the stainless/metal kick plate on the front rather on the sides. Cavalier made CI-3 which was Ice Only and FE-3 which was electric Westinghouse made WI-3 for Ice Only and a WE-3 electric water bath (this one) lady said she has 525 into it... I'll show her the ebay auction the Tom sent me that went for $300 and see if she wants to get rid of it or not?
I still like it with all the embossing...

QUOTE ...it's a Westinghouse WE-3 for sure. Are you sure? Walter's 3rd book shows a pic of a CI-3 and the kickplate is on the front. Also, wouldn't Westinghouse have their escutcheon (logo) on the front? All the other coolers do. I see no trace of it. There should be 3 mounting holes on the front. One way to tell for sure is inspect the refrigeration unit - Westinghouse did everything in-house, so it would have a Westinghouse unit inside.

We'll not 100% sure, Just went off the info in our very own Machine photo library on the site... But probably not a bid deal as the lady wants 525 ... she may ebay it, so we'll see... then I can bid my 300 and maybe win.?
We'll see? Thanks for the help...
