Hey guys! New to the site and these awesome machines! So hang in there with me on both. I just picked this up Saturday for $300 at a swap in Nashville. I've had an eye for years, ever since I grabbed a cold long neck out my uncles one hot day.
I did not see the 80-D model on this site only the "C" and "E" can anbody tell me the difference? Just looks?
I had a key made to get in to it today everything is in tack and it functions. Hope I didn't blow it by plugging it in after having it on it's side over night (read the fridgeration forum afterwards... bummer). Well hey thanks for taking a look, this is a great site! Look forward to getting to know everyone and more about this cool hobby.
I have a thousand questions, but will search first and hit the proper forums

The D model just had some minor cosmetic changes. The biggest change is that it had chrome bottle opener and change trim. The C and E model just had an embossed ring around the opening. Also they went to the T shaped bent coin lever.

Nice machine! The Cavalier 80 series is one of those machines that is just the right size (IMHO).
Good luck with it.

Well finally some time off for the holiday to start on my machines. New tools and compressor are itching to go! I thought my Cav was original paint but the more I look at it I'm wondering???
The rubber seal for the door should it be black on the outside when the door is closed? Mine is painted red.
If it is suppose to black is there a good paint stripper for rubber? Or would I be better off purchasing a new one
If better of purchasing a new one? From where?
Thanks
