Hi Gang

I've had a couple of projects on the go recently. Neither are complete but I thought, in the current climate that I would post a couple of pictures.

The first is my dispenser. Now complete with stand. A stand that Eric spotted and told me about. The same stand that Creighton acted as a go-between because the seller refused point blank to deal with a foreigner. I had to pay Creighton via paypal for him to send a cheque. The stand was then posted to Creighton who fowarded it onto me. Without him I would never have got the stand. Creighton came up trumps and for that I am very thankful. BUT I know that at least a dozen of you would have done the same for me.

The second picture is the V-56 I got months ago after great support from everyone. It has a new bottle stack in it that, at the price I bought it, I literally stole  from Joey, who also threw in other bits. I have used the manual that Creighton kindly sent across. It has a specially adapted slug rejector that Tom worked on and refused to take any money for. The compressor is fitted with a 3 in 1 that Wayne sorted out for me. (not the first time) The crank handle has those hard to find bits that Tom took the time to find and again refused any sort of payment.

The compressor is not working correctly and I know that I can rely on the likes of Eric, Glen, Terry and JohnnieG for advice on. Eric runs a business restoring but with the costs involved in shipping there is no way that I could send it to him. But still probably knowing that he still hands out great advice.

I know there are people that I have missed out. Josh, who has always given great advice and when I get round to my Jacobs wil be the font and others.

I'm a guy that has probably only ever seen half a dozen soda machines in the flesh but I know that if ever I neeed help, on anything not just soda but anything I could turn to you guys.

I have never met any of you and probably never will but this site is the very first I check when logging on and the last before I go to bed. Long may it stay that way.

There are always going to be disputes. This is not paradise but I am glad we can all club together and sort things out. Having been through a very nasty divorce ten years ago I look back now with a loving wife and two young children and thank my lucky stars I managed to survive. It was tocuh and go but ten years on life is so much sweeter.

It's great to see that the bounds of this site and what people are willing to do for each other is pretty much limitless!

Nice items in the pics and yes, nice bunch of people here.  I've been lucky enough to meet a few members and talk to some on the phone.
Please tell me that the dispenser is somehow attached to the shelf and not doing a balance act!  '>

That 56 looks killer, Im glad I was able to help. I will be picking mine up in about two weeks and getting excited!!!

There is some sort of magic going on - the Coke glass is not under the dispenser spout.

That is a great looking 56! I have always wanted one of those. This really is a great site. I have never seen a closer group of friends on the net.

I'm impressed with the 56.  Hard to believe this is Dave's first complete machine restoration. ??
       Now here's a guy who starts a project and get's it done, despite the disadvantage of getting his supplies from overseas!    Most of us spend a lot of time procrastinating before even starting this big a job.
