Cavalier cs-72 (general questions)

I came across a decent CS-72 locally and purchased it.  It's a nice original, was in a home gameroom for 20 years.  Corrosion is minimal considering its age.  It's one of the white door models.  Coin mech doesn't seem to work, makes noise, but not functional.  Cooler works great and it's actually rather clean.  Paint is excellent.  Rubber needs to be replaced.  All shelves are there, it's missing nothing.  Nothing is broken.  The plastic is aged and that whole silver instruction area looks tired and I'd like to replace it.

Question 1: Value?
Question 2: Any issues with this model?  
Question 3: Any advice for this newbie besides, "get the manual".  Are there restoration guides?  I've done jukeboxes (Seeburg 100R and a Wurlitzer 1700).

Compared to the jukes, this machine seems easy.  In case you're wondering, I paid under $1000 for the machine delivered.  I hope it was a fair price.   '>   I've seen machines in worse shape going for more.  It would have like to get a Vendo 44 for that price, but it wasn't going to happen.  My plans are to put the machine in my gameroom next to my pinball games and jukeboxes.

I sold a "Cavalier 72" 8 years ago for $900 to a Large seller/restorer on line and well known. He was glad to get it and I was glad to sell it. Just like yours including the description. That was 8 years ago. I think you did very well.
For the game room I would rather have a 72 than a 44 as for as being more versatile.

 Welcome aboard!! At under 1000 bucks you got a smoking deal. A clean C72 usually goes for 1500.00+. I am in the process of restoring a C72 for a client. I agree the 72 is superior to a 44.  
    If you have access to powdercoating you may send the white "fingers" / lockout gates right behind the glass door. The bottles always chip these and rust moves on in.
