This is what I did with mine.  I use a night stand that has drawers.  The drawers are important because when the machine is full of coins it has a shoot that the coins are directed to and the coins go out the bottom of the machine.  I just cut a hole in the top of the night stand.  When the machine is full and I want a few coins to play I just open the drawer to access the coins.  I am 6” 2 and the top of the machine hits my chest.  With a bar stool it is the right height.  You can buy stands made for slot machines but you are looking at around $100 for a cheep one.  Sorry about the picture.  The batteries for the camera are dead so I had to use my PDA camera.

Kito,

I put mine on one of my stereo speakers.  The speaker is 17" wide X 33" high.  It fits great and is just the right height.  Kill two birds with one stone--no extra furniture.  No stool in front, tho--afraid someone will get excited and kick the speaker!!

What is wrong with my idea? '<img'>

A lot of people put things on top - I've seen pictures!!
Isn't that why there is a 'kito' mat?

I like the night stand idea. Find one unfinished and paint it to match the slot machine.

I saw an ad for Specialty Stands in the latest Gameroom Magazine.  Have you tried that malt shop by you (Kilroys?).  I thought I remember seeing slot machines on a page.

Check out a place called THE GAMBLER, up in SPring Lake Park, MN they sell used slots and stands, not sure on price. Also the suggestions of Watsons, or Game Room Gallery in Burnsville has stuff like that. All of these options will probably cost you more than what it could be built for...
Also check out Bucks unpainted furniture in Bloomington?  If you luck out, call me and maybe if I have time I could build you something....?

SignGuy,

Funny that you mention "The Gambler II" store. Just today I found out about it and headed out there. It used to be in Spring Lake Park, but now it is in Blaine.

They had a ton of used slot machine stands! Mostly the standard black laminate ones with "bullnose" fronts and others. Most of those were too wide for my needs, so I ended up buying a black metal one that came from an overseas military base. They all have the sneaky hole in the top and the hinged door below for getting the extra money that they skim off.

It cost me just $50!

The bad news is that they all were too short for my needs, but I bought one anyway because I wanted an official and strong stand.

If I ever need another one, I sure know to go back there again.

Here is their site:

Thanks guys,
'kito

I know you said your not handy at building stuff but I'd have someone recess that into the wall partially with the rest of it on a shelf. I don't think it would look good any other way. Then you could store a nice stool like in the Casino's underneath it....... ':p'
