Welcome Matt... NYC Firefighter, huh?? Cool '<img'> I've got a cousin NYPD, and his younger brother going into the FD academy soon.

According to the book I have, in rough shape, its worth around $800, and in good shape, its worth around $2000.... Realistically, its worth what someone is willing to spend.

I'd say your buying it right for $1000.00 and depending on the surface rust... I know a few guys here have used some products to help take that off, and avoiding having to get a paint job on it.

We all like Pictures!!!, and if you post them before you buy, we can definately let you know if it's worth $1000 , higher or lower.

Good luck
