Here's a generic 81 with RC colors I am not familiar with.  But, it's at $750.  This may not get many views, since it's listed kinda wierd. Ebay #7415221760

RC 81

Dave, I won't be going after this one.  I'd get shot.  The guys says he ships worldwide, but you'd probably get shot, too!':p'

Kito is definitely the closest and this would look good with his Vendo 110.  Hope some one here grabs it.  I still think it might not get much attention because it isn't listed in the usual way.  You won't get this when you type in "Coke Machine" or "Coca Cola Machine."  I ran across it by searching "Vendorlator."  Come on SMC, grab it!!!

I talked with the seller the other night.. he supposably already has an offer of 1600 from someone.  I'm still interested to see what happens on the auction, but I'm not even sure what a blank machine like this could be worth, or what I'd do with it if I got it... I have some Fantasy machine ideas that would be cool, but probably only to me and if I wanted to sell it might be hard pressed to find a buyer?
Anyone know what a a good fair price would be on this one... he is only 90 minutes from my house, so that is why I'm interestd... NO SHIPPING!

Don't know where it is at now but $1600 is probably still a good deal on a RT 81...
Making it into a Dr Pepper would be killer!

I just checked it's now just below 1600... Seller is anxious now as I called him again and he will wait it out on ebay to be fair... and of course now knows he'll most likely get more than 1600 for it as he has recieved several inquiries.... I guess the auction wasn't so "Hidden" after all....
We'll see... I still like the fact it's local... so maybe I'll consider  what shipping would cost me into my bid?  we'll see I'll keep you updated.

You don't see many generic VMC 81's. Every now and then you can find the Dr pepper signs on ebay. I would build a Dr Pepper machine out of it. It would still be an origional machine and not a fantacy since that is the origional way they came.

One of the SMC guys did get the machine.  I'm known as the-old-mill on ebay.  I haven't checked this site in awhile and didn't know all the talk on this machine.  I guess we all were interested in this one.  Eric, the pics of my other machines are coming soon.

Gumbo

p.s. does anyone have any shelves with sliders?

Thanks! I'm in Virginia, so yes I'm going to have it shipped. I'm not sure what I am going to do with it yet.  I have another generic 81 that I have started to strip to make a Dr. Pepper. See attached pic. As you can see I need the round sign that goes on the front. That is an old decal that is on there now.  I may try and turn the one coming form MN  into a orange crush or barq's rootbeer machine. I have vintage signs for both that would fit nicely on the front. I also need shelves and a large coin door. By the time it takes me to collect all of the parts needed and put it all together, it may be a year b/f I'm done. I'll try and keep everyone in SMC posted. I've also attached some other pics of some of my collection.

I'm having trouble posting pics to the site. I'll have to work on it tonight when I get home from work. I'll see what I can do later.
