Well wish me luck! I think I found a V56 for $500.00! we'll see what it looks like this saturday! The lady said it has the shelves, but no vending rack, as it was used as a 'fridge, told me it was a round top, red & white, with a glass-door on the left, & had a "crank-thingy" that you'd use to get the pop out of the machine, they've owned it since the 50's, & used it her dads corner store...we'll see! I'll kepp you all posted! '>

I agree with eric. It will cost you a lot more in the end to complete it.
Plus the "cranky-thingie" is broken off, right?
And what happened to her "glass door" on it? Sounds like the two machines got combined in her head.
I guess I'd do it if she included BOTH machines for $500

The chrome trim is uncommon. I parted a late model V39 out a littel while back also - $75 just for the trim and it was pretty banged up. I have to agree with Eric though. I'd see if you couldn't get her down to $300 or a package deal for both as it looks to be missing a lot of stuff (drum, drum support, basket release, index mech, coin box, cap catcher, crank handle, condensation pan). All of those things add up to missing value! I have had two complete late model 39's - one I paid close to $850 for and the other $500 - the drum alone is $300-$400.
