North American Van Lines.  Search for that or NAVL.  '<img'>

Welcome to the board jeakle4!! Forward Air may also be an option. What are you wanting to ship where?

Welcome aboard jeakle4,
Forward Air works for me. You have to drop off and pick up at thier terminal. ':drinkers:'

I have used Forward Air for several jukeboxes with good results.  They are pretty cheap but you have to deliver to the terminal...  Good packaging is key.

I have a machine being shipped to me via NAVL right now.   it has been sitting in a warehouse outside New Orleans waiting to be delivered to my home since early last week.  I called NAVL and complained - they gave me the Phone # to their local affiliate  - but the local guy will not return my calls.  Which resulted in more complaining to NAVL.

I suspect this is a problem associated with the aftermath of hurricane Katrina and inherent to the Gulf Coast.  (EVERYONE is short on manpower in this region.)  Hopefully NAVL is providing the usual quality service to the rest of the U.S.

So, I wait...

If they were to say that "all gulf shippments may be delayed because of Katrina" on the first call....... who would get upset?

The NAVL agent called today and said I can expect delivery tomorrow afternoon.  This is my first 81 so I'm really looking forward to it.  Hope they come through.  '<img'>

JP,
Take a good look at the machine BEFORE you sign the papers indicating that it is in good condition. When they pull up, see if you can get a glimpse of the machine and how it is secured in the truck. I have had two machines shipped through NAVL and both have a slight dent at 45 degree angles from the top and bottom of the coin door hinge side. The problem is that they crank the strap around the coin door and they have that winch type strap. It might be hard to prove that they did it, but it is better to have it in writing than not.
