I have been in touch with this seller and is very responsive to questions. I inquired about the extra mech he said he had for the 110  and found out through emailing with him that his extra mechs were electric. He has about 20 or so old NRI and Coinco mechs and from the pictures he sent, they look to be in fantastic shape. He does not want to sell any of them though as he is speculating that they will be worth quite a bit in the future. Good Luck Kevin!

Someone must have added the more modern slogan to the side, later on.

What I don't understand is why Coca Cola would put a water ountain on the side of their machines. I presume that the water was free... Surely that goes against the conspet that if someone is thirsty they will by the coke even though they would only want water...

BTY - Good luck with the bidding...

Dave,
The water fountains were added after the machines left Vendo, Vendorlator, Ideal or whoever the manufacturer was and were never sold that way. The local Coca Cola, Pepsi or Dr. Pepper company usually added them at the request of the owner who wanted a water fountain at their establishment - commonly gas (petrol for you ':p' ) stations. And yes the water was free!

The problem with them was that if the owner cranked the temp down on the Cokes, the water lines would freeze and the pipes would bust inside of the machine spewing water all over the inside. Some restorers today won't put them on or, if they do, won't honor the warranty they might provide on the machine.

I have had only one request to put a water fountain on a machine. I built a new H20 coil and had the drinking fountain polished. I looked really good but I still usually ditch all the fountains.
