Well the shaving came along quite well today. I have found with the plastic panel out there is a nice channel around the edges about 1/32". I went to Home Depot to check on counter top sheets and have alot of colors to choose from. Also have inquired on a sheet of galvanized to fit but no prices yet. Now I need to get the body prepped.

That's a good thought thanks. I would like to get it to the point where it has a theme, maybe clean/updated enough where it could be brought into a family or game room. He coin mech with this seems to be just gravity in the fact that the quarter rests in position and when the bottle is pulled it then allows the mech to release. Is there any way to change the price or put another mech in its place? If not no biggie, just wondering. I'm going to start posting in the renovation area with all this since one of these have not been tracked at all. I'm checking on aluminum prices today also. Thanks again!

I like the idea of doing your own theme on it to match the room that it is going in. Once i finish with the 64 in a coke theme I want to do the 96 in a Mt Dew theme.

Last Post for me here on this machine...
Just two more pics to show what the door looks like as of today. I'm starting to lean toward a Miller Lite theme now.

Nice job. Did you use angle material to retain it? I like the idea of graphics showing a coin and bottle door. And the sign.........will it become a "Miller lite"? '>

When I removed (TORE) the plastic molding off the edge channels were already in place so I just bought a piece of aluminum (probably should've done stainless), shaved the front and cleaned out the leftover spray in insulation, and slid it in place. I researched the web last night for Miller emblems without much luck. The bottom line is there are no more Pepsi bottles and when you do get pop in bottles best price I have found at WalMart is about $2.50 a 6 pack on sale. That is for Orange and Grape Crush. IBC is bit bit more. Beer bottles are obviously easier to come by and I prefer a cold beer to a pop anyday. Cane Sugar pop is good also but a bit expensive. '> Pepsi bottling!!!!!

Oh yea, the sign on top is a piece of plastic so swapping out with a new sign on plexi-glass will be easy. I'm also thinking about a beer tap handle as the door handle to open with.
