My wife kinda thinks our freebie CV-223 is up there on the ugly stick too.  I'm still trying to figure out what to do with it.  With the plastic covers off it I'm still digging for a theme or idea.

Here is the before...  The plastic is very dirty and a bit pitted from the wonderful Arizona air.  Any suggestion how I might bring it back to life?  Then I will only have to work on the front.  The sun was so hot it actually melted some of the plastic below the selector buttons.

This is where a large decal under plexi glass could come in
handy.... this is still kinda plain but could be fun with a “Hits The Spot” text along the front.....

I am the running for a CV big boy for parts machine. The parts machine is a Coke model. Right now the bidding is a $40.

Hey

I was looking at your pictures more closely & notice that you removed the can slider on the outer door. What I am calling the can slider is the plastic gates that directs/channels the cans out of the vending mechanism through the front of the machine. How did you ge tthat out? Did it cause damage to the trim? I removed my anti-theft hand  guards.

My name is Jim..and...um... I...er...kinda like the  concept of hide a pop machine behind authentic simulated wood panels
I came of age in the 70's, the generation between LSD and REM. Quick, name a classic machine of the 70's. I'll wait. It was the age of convenience, heck with the compact style of a vendo, or the sleekness of a Cavalier, naw, let's create a mega behemoth, capaple of holding a half million cans. Ok, so making chains out of the pull tab rings to hang from your rearview mirror (kids, ask your parents what a pull tab was) was cool, but dang it, we wore bell bottoms, and platform shoes. Our contribution was disco.
This machine cries out to me. It says I belong in a game room done in dark wood paneling, and orange shag carpet. It needs some blacklight "Keep on Truckin'" posters above it.  Put it next to the quadrophonic jukebox, let the disco globe hanging from the drop ceiling glitter upon the 16oz King Size cokebottles in it. And enjoy the real simulated wood panels while listening to "The Night Chicago Died"

How did you ge tthat out? Did it cause damage to the trim? I removed my anti-theft hand  guards.

It was as simple as removing the nine 3/8" nuts from around the frame of it.  I've noticed that I have a knack of getting things apart.  I don't usually even need a manual.  
As my dad put it when I was young "You can tear up a wooden block". I'm in the Army and I'm going to experiment with posters and stuff that I have access to.  Good thing is if I don't like it I just take them back out and try something else.  I've started painting the trim Hammertone Gold.  My wife is determined to get rid of it but I like the ability to have bottles and cans come from one machine.

Eric... Can you show me a good "Wonder Woman" look on the machine?  My buddy says he NEVER gets tired of looking at her and my wife is kinda partial to her.  I didn't realize that was even my machine that you manipulated at first!!!
