I found this old Candy machine the other day and am thinking about getting it. I don't have a picture but I'll describe it....It's about 4 foot tall by 1 foot wide and has a red label up top with 30's era script.. It has one window but displays all of about 25 candy bars on little shelve's. I has a crank on the side and a door on the bottom that you get candy from. Kind of cool but I'm not sure what to do with it in house. Does anyone have anything like that in their house. Not something you normally have in a house anyway. Plus candy in large supplies may fatten wife......which is a downside of owning it.

Kinda sounds like a u-select- wall mount machine. Got a friend who has one
he's gonna try and display Hotwheels and Matchbox cars in his.....
What's the price?.... That's the big question... Buddy bought his for $110...
They can go pretty high if clean and restored...
this was around a grand at Chicago this past fall...

Wow that was fast you guys are good.... That's the one but I guess it's missing the bottom piece. The dude want's 135.00 for it. What does that bottom piece do. It isn't in bad shape otherwise, but the big base is gone.....What year did they come out? Should I get it at this price?

My Buddy bought his 4 years ago for $100 his doesn't have a base either... most where
attached to the wall... Bet a base could be made... just a metal box but you could build one out of wood and paint it if you really wanted a base but my friend is bolted to the wall in the basement
by all his models..... $135, if complete ands straight is a deal anymore... Good luck!

I really like the looks of them. If I were you I would get it. Just as an example of what they are selling for here is one without a base on ebay for $200 with 1 bid and a few days left

This machine was not offered on a base (kids would have it knocked over the first day of service)  Wall mount only.
Price is right and you could always fill it with Slim Fast bars.:p

135.00 is a smokin deal!! I had a few in the past, two with base's. They are top heavy and are prone to tip over if bumped hard enough. I think I still have a candy bezel if someone buys a machine and is missing that part let me know.

Well I got it for $128.00 because it didn't say firm.  You can get a few percent off if you ask. Well it is slightly different than the one pictured. It has the red plate above door and the door red plate is on bottom of door instead of the middle.... It doesn't have the chrome piece around the top either. The top red plate is perfect but the lower one has quite a few dings in it. All in all it looks to be all there. Does anyone know what can be done to repair or replace the dinged plate? The top of mine has two holes in it maybe it's missing the top piece. Does the piece above the chrome ring come off?

Above message plus this...I read the persons ebay write up and it said keys are available. Is this true or should I just drill it? It's the kind of lock that uses the hollow key. Can these be picked? I picked one of my pop machines locks but it wasn't this kind of lock though....Help, and thanks guys!
