Hi...you have an early version coca cola 39 machine. Screw out the 7Up sign and it should say Drink Coca Cola in Bottles behind it.
In terms of getting into the machine, push the handle coming out of the coin door counter-clockwise..there should be significant resistance but don't worry, it should "loosen" up. Now...to actually get into the coin door and open up the main door, you should play it safe and simply drill out the lock.

First off, welcome aboard! Great to have you around. The folks here are super helpful so if you have any questions, just ask!
Actually, it would be a good thing to strip the 7up paint scheme off of your 39. It adds no value to the machine and may actually help it depreciate more in the long run. It definitely won't help it increase.
Back in the day, It was really common for other Non-Coca Cola vendors to snag their machines and paint them up as thier own. That's why you'll find that larger companies like Coke and Pepsi fiercly protect anything with their logo on it to include soda pop machines. This helps prevent their machines falling into "the enemies hands".

Welcome to SMC!
The crank handle will rotate counter-clockwise as VBT has stated.
Reproduction locks can be purchased easily so my recommendation as well as many other members here will suggest drilling out the lock and remove it. Just be careful not to damage anything else...

Hello alpharacer1, Welcome aboard!
Use a 5/16" drill bit and drill the center of the lock out about 5/8" deep. Then insert a large slotted screwdriver into the hole and twist open. This only takes about one minute.
