Understand the concerns with the eBay ID. Thought about adding it as a field in the SMC Chapters list. Decided too much info in one place.

Trickey as to who gets access to what in the online world. An idea is Jim makes the last call, any admin level member could review someones request for MOA and pass that along.

Jim, could the code for the SMC Store be adapted?
Sure don't want this to be a bunch of work.

Since members need to have 50 posts to upgrade to a nickle's worth, maybe make it so that after 25 posts (or some number) that they become 2 cent's worth and make a section or two that requires members to be a member group of 2 cents or higher to read/post in that area?

I am a member of a veterans group that uses this same type Ironboard. For the board of directors we have a directors area that is accessed by a password. Right now it is one password for everyone to get in & read/post private messages. that would work here but then there would have to be a decision on who & how to grant access.

One idea would be to wait until someone has made a certain number of posts & then charge an annual/lifetime fee for the rights to get in. This method would limit access to people that really come here to learn/help others and keep out the 10 post wonders. Plus the fee of $10 or $25 dollars would help with the cost of the website & make sure the people that access this area are real soda machine nerds!!
