I'm absolutely pysched... Listed my VMC77 on ebay. It sold in about 12 hours with a $300 BIN. The buyer came to pick it up this morning. Liked the machine but saw the VMC56 that was almost complete (same machine that's been almost complete since August). Anyway he started asking a bunch of questions about what it was worth. Told him I had about $700 sunk into it... Next thing you know I'm keeping the VMC77 and he's giving me the $300 as his downpayment towards a $1000 purchase for the VMC56  .
So I have 4 weeks to finish it... This evening, I finished everything except the decals. Posted some more pics in the photogallery.

Thanks guys... I got into this as a hobby so my goal was to co cover my costs. It looks like it is possible even for rookies. I was very surprised and happy.
So here's the final look with decals and a nicer light up sign.

Bryan, Congrats on your sale! That is truely one awesome machine! Where did you get your Pepsi Cola script light up sign? Again truely awesome, I'm jealous.

Thanks again... was actually easier to let it go than I thought... I've got 4 machines, only need 2 (one to work on and one to use) and the sale was easy (no haggling, covered all my costs...). So, I'll take a ton of picks for posterity and start tearing the VMC77 apart (or maybe that GE cooler... ).
Chuck the light up is just a piece of plexi with a water transfer decal (sodajerkworks sells the sheet for $30). It's a surface decal so I covered it with a second thin sheet of plexi to protect it.

I have two machines that I have yet to have a chance to work on. Must say that if that was your first attempt, outstanding job. Really fine job on the sign, new one much more impressive that the original. You are inspiring.
