I am going to follow up with the local bottler and send him a pic of the postcard. Curious to see what he says.

Hello to all, this is my first post and I have learned a great deal reading your past posts.  I contacted my local Pepsi bottler Pepsi MidAmerica, President Harry L. Crisp III and he responded with the following reply on the glass bottles.
"Thanks for the info.  I'm  having our marketing department look into it.  We are interested.  This market in Michigan is obviously a test market for PepsiCo on this package.  We like it and see a fit in our portfolio of packages."  I hope this helps to get the bottles flowing again in the midwest.

welcome to SMC, L Hunter! Great to have you around. Thanks for the info. Hopefully that "package" does work well in the test phase/market and it catches on. A lot of us have been waiting for this! ':drinkers:'

Well it showed up today.  Only problem is they sent diet instead of regular.  Good looking little bottles but it is a sticker instead of an ACL label.  I' am pursuing this from several different fronts so hopefully it will get cheaper and easier to find.

My thoughts exactly.  Although with it being diet it probably isn't as old as we think.

Nice looking bottle.  I sure hope they come to my area.  The only problem I can see us soda machine guys having is if we have both regular and diet in our machines.  I bet the caps will both be just be the Pepsi swirl.  I won't have to worry since I will only have regular in there ':p' .
(That is once I use up more pop from my summer trip)

Good point Dr G. I would be stocking both reg. and diet in my machine and need info on the bottle cap.  We may ask Creighton if a rubber stamp could be made small enough to print the word  "Diet"?
