Just a few quick shots of the newest member in the Soda-Barn

It's a early 60's Cornelius SV-50 (SelectiVend) can vendor model no. 50-0814-800,
SN/1114 manufactured by Cornielus corp , Toronto, Ont. Canada.

as you can see it's a 4 selection steel can vendor, it originally came with a can opener, which would have plugged in just to the right of the coinmech (a Coinco Canadian F9800 series) into the 120 volt plug seen on the botoom of the control box, the openers been replaced by a Pull-tab collection box in it's place.

It's has four vending gates with a unique "scissors" action vending mechanism, that are feed by a serpentine belt to each column. The four selector buttons are rectaguler shaped cast aluminum & each has a sold-out lamp that indicates when that coulmn is empty.  the neat thing about this vendor is that the cans roll out into the delivery chute sideways.

hear are the measurments 26"W x 23"D x 55"H about the size of a 60's Vendo V56
it weighs 260lbs.

Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes.
Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon!
The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p
Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor
11 is louder than 10...
"Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

Looks like a neat machine.  Kind of weird with the color scheme - what year do you think it is from?

I guessing '64

The delivery chutes been repainted black, it probably was a cast aluminum finish as well.

I had a similar Rc version of that machine. Mine was shorter and fatter but looked similar. Be carefull loading the machine. Those teeth that allow the can to vend will puncture the cans.
