Unusual cooler Leonard. You can see the original yellow paint showing through... I have a few photos of a similar unknown RC cooler that is very square-ish like yours but doesn't have the triangle and star. The "Royal Crown" lettering is arched similar to this cooler. Sorry I don't have much to offer for identification...

Leonard, That is a great cooler!! Embossing stampings sure are clear and crisp. Interesting how the "Cola" is block letters. Here's results of some searching. RC bottle with same logo.
Same design, no additional info though. Creighton

I have a bottle like Creighton had a link for. The copyright on the front is 1936 and on the bottom of the bottle it does says 9 and 46 (in case any of this helps you figure out the years they used the star).

And then there were two.... '>
Nice Find Leonard! I, (as you've seen in the prior pics) have a cooler that looks like yours, from what little (very little) info I have gathered, our coolers are most likely a early to mid 30's quickcold "standard" Ice chest, (for lack of an offical model no.) & as you've found out, there isn't a darn tag or model number anywhere on the box to be found!, mine has the "shadow" of a paper tag on the bottom of the tank, but it's been long gone & only the outline remains.
The "RC" cola logo with the pyramid & star is found as mentioned by dr galaga, is 30's design also found on the bottles of the era. that yellow & black and red lettering just jumps out & grabs your attention doesn't it! looks like yours has had an extra bottle opener added to the center area.
I really like all of the embossing on this cooler, along with the "X" pattern on the lids. does your have what looks like "tar" covering the bottom of the fiber insulation on the underside of the tank too? mine is missing the bottle opner (crown puller) & cap catcher, but the holes (right hand side) are there.
so are you going to restore it yellow/red & black?

I saw one similar to this in Arizona on my last trip. But it did not have the triangle RC.
Seems like this would be a cool builder.
