Well, this is the 5th time this guy has listed his 6-case vertical on eBay.  The first 2 times, he started the bidding at $800.  Each time after, he's started it at $750.  This is not too far from me, so a few listings ago, I contacted them about it.  I figured if it didn't sell, I could make an offer.  THe wife was very nice and inferred she wanted to sell it, but the husband wouldn't budge off his price.  Seems he paid $800 for it a few years ago.  I explained the cost of replacing the missing shelves, rewiring, etc.  Still, she said he was set on the price.  You'd think after the 3rd or 4th time, he'd take a hint.  Naturally, I will watch it and may contact them again.

Hopefully your good waiting skills will pay off, Wayne. I guess I can kinda feel what the guy is going through, but I also think that he may have to face the reality that he isn't going to get more than $600 for it.

The one thing that he does have going for him is Ebay. With such broad coverage, he might find that guy/gal that finds this machine super-desirable and will pay the high bounty he's placed on it.

Maybe he'll come to his senses after the 5th time!  '<img'>

I agree, Brian.  But, this guy is REAL bull-headed.  We'll wait and see!

Yeah... anyone who ends an auction description with "Price won't be lowered again." just doesn't have a firm grasp on the whole supply/demand relationship. ':p'

it's almost like he's saying, "Buy it at this price or.....or...I'll just keep it!!"  Okaaaayy? '<img'>

I think you should have Josh contact him... he seems to find a way to get people to give him machines just to free up floor space!

Don't have their number, I've just used email.  I emailed them again, but haven't gotten any response.  Man, if Josh talks to them, he'll wind up having them pay him to take the machine! ':p'  Have at it, Josh, see what they'll take!

There is one problem with me emailing him. I really don't want the machine. Even if I did I am broke. This moving every month is killing me.

Josh, I think  Wayne wants it  you get it for the right price  let Wayne know  what he going to have
to pay,  Then you let the people know that your going to have a friend pick it up
and let Wayne pick it up. And every one is happy.

Thanks, Josh.  I don't see him coming down to where I want.  Book value on it is $475.  It's missing shelves (at least 5), has rust and probably needes rewired.  So, he probably won't be willing to sell it to me cheap.  I offered him $600 a few months ago and he laughed.  Now, I wouldn't even go close to that much (a little spiteful on my part).  But, it will be interesting to see if you get a response.  I haven't as of yet and I emailed a few days ago.  Again, many thanks.
