I just returned yesterday from a little vacation i took up to Eagle River, Wisconsin (pop. 2000). Last Saturday we were goofing around the small, touristy, downtown. We were parking the car an I noticed a storefront with a huge neon sign that read "Soda Pops"! I was in shock! '>
As we walked across the street, through the window, I spied about a 2" by 4" glimpse of what I was sure of was a soda pop machine light up sign....I was right!!! What we walked into was a full restored Soda Fountain that had been there in Eagle River since the beginning of Prohibition! Sitting right in the middle of the store was a VMC 3D-33 and right next to it was a Vendo 63!!! As I scanned around I began to notice more and more. the shelves that sat around the perimeter of the interior at about the 10 foot level was stacked with old bottle crates filled with old bottles!! Dr. Pepper, Coke, Pepsi, Orange Crush, you name it, it was there!
At the end of the soda fountain closest to the door was a cherry Galaxie Dispenser!!, Still being used!!!
As I walked back further into the joint, I ran into more machines!!! sitting behind the booths was a fully restored Quickold 2000 WD2 RC Cola cooler to the right of it was a restored Ideal 55 Pepsi embossed Slider. Facing the slider across the aisle sits a Vendo 7up Square top.
Just when I thought it couldn't get any better.....around the other corner is a sweet VMC 27B Pepsi machine! and then a quick look to the left revealed a Vendo 44!!! '> nestled between all of this was an awesome vintage gas pump!!
Here's some pic's, enjoy!!

WOW! Seriously, that is Mecca for us collectors! Did you speak with the owner? Tell him/her about this site? I am in awe! Thanks so much for taking pics. I love all of that stuff and the soda counter!

I sure wish it were closer to the Wisconsin/Minnesota border. Sigh.

Nice pictures Brian, I would love to see it in person someday. Did you happen to get a good picture of the neon arrow sign? '>

Sodaworks - Unfortunately I didn't get a direct shot of the neon arrow sign.
Gmarcoke - I pretty new to the area, It was actually my first time up there. My signifigant other's father lives up there and we were visiting him. It's right across the street from the old train station and right off the main street that runs perpendicular to Soda Pops. The Soda Fountain Portion is where I just mentioned and what they call their "Warehouse Store" is actually on the main street.
