Picked up the 56A off ebay yeah its rough I dont know exactly what im gonna do with it. But I may get bored this winter. Picked up the 39 off my dad he has had it for a few years and finally just bought it outright of what he has in it. I also manged to get a original 1949 Coca Cola cigar thermometer off of him. I'll post some pics in a bit

That 56 was a steal. Find yourself a square corner 56 for parts. Then have a welder cut the base off and weld it to yours. But first the side panels are spotwelded front and back so they can be cut under the chrome divider near the top, and the whole side including grills, can be removed separately. Then the only weld necessary on sheet metal is under the SS divider. Frame and rear panels are not visible so welds need not be perfect there.

So a square top 56 lower cabinet is similar enough? to make the swap? I can get those local for fairly cheap. I figured I got a good deal the main door is well worth the price I paid for it

The base is also the same on the Vendorlator 117 and Vendo 126. The tall ones usually don't go for much so that might help with cost.
