OK..
I just bought a Vendo 81 manual off eBay...
It's nice and will be a GREAT help in putting mine back together.
But the down side is me being a artist.... this could be so much better.
It is a copy, of course, probably done on a copier a few
times before someone scanned it for a CD.
I would love, LOVE to find an original and scan it, clean it up
so images are clearer.....
Does ANYBODY have an original that I can borrow, lease so I
can scan and make a clean copy for printing or for burning onto a CD.....

Here's an example of a page now... I know these originals
are photos or clean detailed images....

Anyone want to work something out?....

Thanks
Eric

Eric,

I began this very project several years ago but have put it on hold as attempting to accomplish this task is monumental for all the manuals!

I looked at out sourcing and this actually could work for some manuals but not others due to the scanning process. Not to mention the fact that some manuals are very scarce and I wasn't comfortable letting someone disassemble a manual for manual scanning. Then throw in the page scanning possibly jamming from the old paper and ruining pages...

To answer your question, I'll see what I have for the V-81 over the weekend...

My six cents,

I have a 1940s Coolers Manual/Catalog that Salesmen carried on the 1940 models Westinghouse, and a few other models  (haven't look at it in years) awesome catalog with a price guide in the back also a section on refurbishing showing the color codes and someone ROLLING the embossed letters.
I'm wanting to disassemble this and scan it all so someone can either have it on CD or print out and have their own copy...
So when I get around to that one I'll let everyone here know.
But again I'd like to borrow one on a 81 (even a 39 and Cav 72 since these are the ones I own and want to restore and keep.)
