I am thinking about selling my jacobs 26. I really need the money right now with the move and all. I was just wondering what they are worth. It is 100% complete and rust free. It does have a nasty dent in the side but it can be pulled without much trouble. I have no idea if it cools or not as the cord is cut and the wiring is a mess. Also is anyone here interested in it?

Man, I wish I could! I've always wanted a Jacobs, but after the Vendo V-210-D Ice cream machine(s), and the Squirt Ideal-55 Slider. she'd K-I-L-L me!   '<img'>

Thats too bad. I would love for you to get this machine. Do you know what I should ask for it? I am not trying to get rich on it I just don't know what it is worth. The book says that an average machine is worth $1,500 so do you think that $1,000 is too much?

Are you gonna throw in the bird nest? What is the round top behind the jacobs?

I'd say that's a fair asking price, being that it's complete & unknown running condition, dent & all. if you don't sell it to a "local" here at the site, it ought to sell quickly on eBay, the Jacobs 26s & 35s are quite popular. I'd take a better interior shot of the drum (minus the nest  ':<img:'> ) it's in way better shape than the crud I've seen lately on eBay, all of them have been hacked into 'fridge with wooden shelves added..yours should sell nicley.. Terry that is a Pepsi VMC88 in the background. That is an old pic. Everything in that unit is long gone. The only thing that I kept was the 7up selectivend and the Jacobs. The only problem is that it is at my Moms house in Ohio so shipping it is out of the question since my Dad moved to Singapore two weeks ago.
John, Thank you for the feedback I really hope it sells. I could really use the $$. I would take $900 for it since that is what I have in it. I will post some ad's.

It seems that a few months ago machines were selling for more money than now. has anyone noticed a time of year that is better to sell machines. I really want to sell the Jacobs but since it is at my Moms I don't want to put it on ebay untill I am able to be there to help with shipping. So I guess that I will be going to pick it up soon after I get to tennessee.

As much as I would love to have that model. My friend I think you'd do better selling it on
eBay. Can you take better pictures of it? (I agree... minus the nest
maybe soap/wash it down) Put a reserve on it and put VMC and Vendo in the search title.
a complete Jacobs.... Hard to find.... a classic model.

The only problem is that it is at my Mom's house in Ohio. I have had quite a bit of interest in it. Steve at the SodaJerkWorks has been emailing me alot about it and I have a friend in Ohio that has a few people interested. If that doesn't work I am going to be at my Moms in a few weeks I will pick it up and clean it up some. I will lightly try to rub it out and possibly replace the front decal and throw it on ebay. I will also rewire it to see if it works. Thanks for the response.
