Well I finally talked a local into selling me his Suirt/Ideal55 slider, although not embossed, it's graphics are in primo shape!

It's straight, clean, & running fine, the racks missing ( I hate that every time you find a slider, the %!#@ rack's missing)  '<img'>  & it looks like the coin-return cup took a walk too, (I can't figure that one out either) & no side doorlock or coinmech lock...coinmech works fine, set for a dime, & the lids in decent shape,(hey even the wife likes it!) after inspecting it , & a small sratch-test, it appears that the Squirt-yellow is its original color, the Squirt logo is in fine shape, I suspect that the Peter-Max flowers were added in the '60's though, the serial no. seems to be in line with my other sliders from the '50's. (An Ideal 55/R.C.Cola & an Ideal 55/Nessbitts Orange.) the only other curious item is a small micro switch, mounted on a piece of masonite board, that would trigger when the loading door is opened, but there is no evaporator fan , or wiring about, because these puppys are convection cooled, ( with the evaporator coils attached to the inside of the liner walls) so maybe an attempt to install an alarm? who knows!

Looks nice.  How about a pic of the inside?
I've been gettin' a taste for Squirt lately. Too bad I can't get it in glass bottles! ':drinkers:'
