Very fond memories of the many hours spent pouring over the details of a TRS-80. What a long way things have come since the cassette tape and direct connect phone handset BBS days.

We used to call them Trash-80's. It was the first, and for a year or so, the only computer my high school had.

Apple 2-E.
Good for only limited processing. Games were lame! I think we paid about $1700 for it.

The VIC-20 was the first computer that I used and I used a Trash-80 in a middle school programming class. I also just gave away a Vic-20 and a TRS-80 Model III to a couple of students the other day.
I remember when we were one of the first ones to get a 1200 baud modem - everyone else had a 300 baud!
